01· The short version

Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary is stored unless you agree to it. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and the site behaves exactly as it would if you had accepted.

You can change your choice whenever you like using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

02· Strictly necessary

These are set without asking, because the site cannot record your cookie choice without them. They are permitted under the ePrivacy Regulations without consent.

  1. hef_consent Stored by us, in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie. Records whether you accepted or declined analytics, when you did so, and which version of this notice you saw. Kept for six months, then you are asked again.

03· Analytics, only if you agree

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and where they arrive from. It is not used to identify you, and we do not use advertising or personalisation cookies anywhere on this site.

  1. _ga Set by Google. Distinguishes one visitor from another so that visits can be counted. Lasts up to two years.
  2. _ga_G-71445LY2PW Set by Google. Keeps track of the current session. Lasts up to two years.

These are set only after you press Accept. Until then, and permanently if you press Decline, Google Consent Mode holds analytics storage in a denied state and no cookie is written.

04· Where the data goes

Google Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited, and may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Google relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and its certification under the EU to US Data Privacy Framework for those transfers.

Your IP address is not stored by Google Analytics 4. It is used to derive an approximate location and then discarded.

You can read how Google handles this at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

05· Changing your mind

Use the Cookie settings link, in the footer of every page. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as agreeing was, which is what the law requires.

If you decline after having previously accepted, any Google Analytics cookies already on your device are removed.

You can also clear cookies through your browser at any time, and most browsers let you block them entirely.

06· Your rights and how to reach us

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access the data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive a copy of it.

To exercise any of those, email info@hyperendurancefitness.com.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
